Shoulder pain mostly originates from the shoulder joint or nearby muscles, ligaments and tendons. If you move your arm or shoulder, the pain usually worsens. Some diseases such as heart and gallbladder diseases may also cause shoulder. It is called referred shoulder pain. For referred shoulder pain, the pain does not worsen if you move your arm or shoulder.
