Achilles tendinitis

Achilles tendon is the largest tendon in the body. Achilles tendinitis is usually caused by excessive exercise. It is often seen in middle age person who exercise regularly. Heel pain is the early symptom. If the condition aggravates, you may be unable to engage in sports or even cannot walk. The tendon may suddenly rupture without warning. Conservative therapy includes oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory painkillers and complete rehabilitation treatment. If combined with nearby bursitis, local injection of anti-inflammation drugs is very effective. Otherwise, direct injection to the Achilles tendon should be avoided because it can accelerate hardening of the tendon and increase the possibility of tendon rupture.
