Adenomyosis

Normally, endometrial tissue only exists in the inner wall of the uterus. If it grows into the muscle wall of the uterus, it is called adenomyosis. It is related with but different from endometriosis. Endometriosis is a condition that endometrial tissue exists out of the uterus. Symptoms of adenomyosis include menstrual pain, abdominal pain, pain during intercourse, lower back pain and menstrual irregularity. Adenomyosis is neither inflammation nor tumor.
