Agoraphobia is an anxiety disorder. Agoraphobia patients dare not to go to public, crowded or open spaces, such as playground, square, bus, train and other public transportation. If they are in these places, they have significant dizziness, palpitations, chest tightness, or even syncope. The fear may ease or disappear if they are accompanied by someone. Treatment methods include general psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and medication.
