Albinism is a relatively common disease due to lack of melanin (black pigment). The whole body is generally affected. Colors of hair, skin and eyes are all very light. Iris and pupil look pink. They fear of light and always squint eyes when seeing things. All types of albinism can affect eye development and visual function. There is no specific treatment for the disease. Patients should avoid over-exposure to sun.
