Angelman syndrome

Angel syndrome is a rare genetic neurological-behavioral disease. Symptoms include moderate to severe mental retardation, developmental delay, small head, movement and balance disorder, stiff and trembling pace, and severe language impairment (with minimal or no language expression). Patients have unique behavior: they frequently smile or laugh. They are easily excited. When they are excited, they clap or dance. They like music or playing water. Older patients will become more silent but the happy personality still exists. If the disease is not accompanied by severe congenital organ malformation, the general health is good.
