Atrial fibrillation

Atrial fibrillation is the most common sustained arrhythmia. Patients' heartbeat is much faster than normal. The heartbeat is also irregular. Some patients with atrial fibrillation have no symptoms. If you have symptoms, the symptoms include palpitations, fatigue, dizziness, shortness of breath and chest pain. Any treatment for atrial fibrillation should first try to restore the sinus rhythm. If the sinus rhythm cannot be restored, drugs can be used to slow down the rapid ventricular rate. If the sinus rhythm cannot be restored in atrial fibrillation, anticoagulant drugs should be used to prevent the occurrence of thrombosis and stroke.
