Bacteremia means there are bacteria in your blood. Bacteria usually enter the blood through local infection. Bacteria can be found in the blood. White blood cell count will become very high. High fever is a typical symptom of bacteremia. Sometimes a red line appears on the patient's arms or legs. You should pay close attention to this red line since it is an indicator of blood infection. If you are diagnosed as bacteremia or sepsis, you will need antibiotic injection. In most cases you also need blood transfusion.
