Bacterial vaginosis

Bacterial vaginosis is a vaginal inflammation caused by Gardnerella bacteria. It can be transmitted through sex. It often affects women aged 15-44. For about 10-50% patients there is no symptom. If you have symptoms, symptoms include increased vaginal discharge, bad odor, and mild genital itching or burning sensation. Treatment methods include systemic and topical medication. Systemic administration: oral metronidazole or clindamycin; topical medication: put metronidazole suppository in vagina or apply clindamycin ointment.
