Bird flu (avian influenza)

Bird flu is a contagious disease. Usually it only affects birds and rarely affects humans. If it affects human, it is often fatal. Human bird flu symptoms are similar to that of other types of flu. Symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, muscle aches, conjunctivitis, difficulty breathing and pneumonia. Researchers are developing bird flu vaccine to protect people from being infected by Bird flu virus.
