Blepharitis

Blepharitis is a chronic inflammation of the eyelid edge. Usually both eyes are affected. The condition is relative persistent. Sometimes the condition is mild and sometimes it is severe. And it is often recurrent. Usually it does not cause permanent damage to eyesight. Symptoms include increased eye discharge, eyelid edge redness, swelling, hypertrophy, erosion, ulcers or scales. To treat blepharitis, use 0.5% zinc sulfate solution eye drops, along with oral vitamin B6 or B complex tablets.
