Cataracts

Cataract is a disease of the eye lens. The protein of the lens is denatured, making it turbid. Cataract is the most common reason of blindness and visual disability. Typical symptom of cataract is progressive vision loss. It can be associated with myopia, monocular diplopia and other symptoms. Generally there is no eye redness or pain. Currently no drugs can reverse the process of cataract. What can really restore the vision is surgery. Cataract surgery is usually safe and effective.
