Charcot Marie Tooth disease

Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease is also known as hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy. The disease mainly causes muscle weakness and atrophy. The main symptoms are progressive muscle weakness and atrophy of distal limbs, accompanied by sensory disturbances. Patients have walking difficulties. Symptoms usually appear in adolescence or early adulthood. There is no effective treatment yet. Symptomatic and supportive therapy can be done.
