Chronic actinic dermatitis is a condition that the skin gets inflammed due to reaction to light. Symptoms include skin rashes and flared bumpy patches, skin burning sensation and pain. The affected areas are extremely hot to touch. The outbreak occurs within 24 hours after exposure to UVA or UVB light. It often occurs on locations with direct sunlight exposure such as upper chest, hands and faces. But it is also possible to happen all over the body since ultraviolet light may penetrate clothes.
