Chronic myelogenous leukemia

Chronic myeloid leukemia is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow malignancies. Granulocytes grow unlimitedly in bone marrow. These white blood cells aggregate in the bone marrow and inhibit the normal hematopoietic function of bone marrow. These granulocytes spread to the whole body through blood. Chronic myelogenous leukemia usually affects the middle-aged and elderly. Drugs for treating chronic myelogenous leukemia include imatinib, dasatinib, nilotinib and erlotinib. These treatments are usually effective.
