Churg-Strauss syndrome is also known as allergic granulomatous disease. It is a blood vessel inflammation disease characterized by asthma, increase in eosinophils and vascular granuloma formation. It can attack once every several months to years. During the acute attack stage, patients may have fever, anemia, weight loss, general malaise and loss of appetite. Sometimes fever can be continued or remittent. Some patients have arthritis or joint pain. Almost all patients have pulmonary symptoms, which are the main symptoms of Churg-Strauss syndrome. Churg-Strauss syndrome cannot be cured, but treatment can alleviate symptoms and prevent damage of important organs and improve prognosis.
