Colon cancer is a common malignant tumor. In most cases colon cancer starts with small, non-cancerous cell debris, called adenomatous polyps. Over time, these polyps develop into colon cancer. The onset is hidden and there is usually no symptom during the early stage. Colon cancer progresses slowly. When you have symptoms, mostly it is now at middle to late stage. Regular screening and look for polyps can prevent the occurrence of colon cancer. Comprehensive treatment is used and surgical removal is the primary treatment. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy can reduce the recurrence rate and improve survival rate.
