Cradle cap

Cradle cap mostly occurs within 3 months after an infant is born. It is more common in obese babies. Cradle cap can be seen on the scalp, forehead, cheeks, eyebrows and ears. The skin flushes, covered by yellow greasy scales. If the case is severe, you may see thick yellow serous scab. There is inflammation, erosion and oozing below the scab. Treatment: Apply glycerol, boiled sterilized vegetable oil or emollient oil on the scab for several times a day. After the crust is softened, gently scrap it off by small comb. Then wash the head and face by neutral baby soap and warm water. Apply Vitamin B6 cream after washing. It usually can be eliminated in a few days.
