Cryptosporidium infection

Cryptosporidium infection is an intestinal disease caused by cryptosporidium (a parasite). The main symptom is diarrhea. The transmission route is fecal-oral. Diagnosis can be confirmed if cryptosporidium eggs are founded in patient's stool. This disease is common in patients with immune deficiency (such as AIDS patients). At the same time, due to imperfect immune function, parasites may enter the patient's liver, lungs, pancreas, gall bladder and other organs, resulting in more serious pathological response. There is no particularly effective drug. For most people with normal immunity, diarrhea caused by cryptosporidium infection usually disappears within 1-2 weeks.
