Cystocele

If part or the whole of the bladder prolapses into the vaginal or even out of vagina through the vaginal wall, it is called cystocele. It occurs when the supportive tissues between a woman's bladder and vagina weakens and stretches. It happens when the abdominal pressure increases substantially. These conditions include vaginal childbirth, chronic constipation, violent coughing or lifting heavy things. Conservative treatment can be used for mild to moderate cases. Surgery is needed for severe cases.
