Depression is a common mood disorder. It can lead to persistent sadness and loss of interest in things. You may lose appetite, cannot sleep well or even have suicidal thoughts and behaviors. Depression is directly caused by abnormal brain gland secretion. Without proper treatment, it is difficult for patients to get out by themselves. Patients can use psychotherapy and antidepressants. Electric shock treatment can be given to serious cases or those who have strong suicidal tendency.
