Dyshidrosis

Dyshidrosis is a skin disease characterized by small fluid-filled blisters on your palm or feet. It usually begins in late spring or early summer, aggravates in summer, and disappears in winter. It often coexists with the hand and foot sweating.  It attacks on a regular basis each year. Symptoms include skin itching, redness, swelling, dryness and scaly blisters. If there is secondary infection, pustules may form with obvious inflammation. Severe cases can develop lymphangitis and lymphadenitis. Mild symptoms will heal in two to three weeks. Treatment: steroid creams and ointments are the drug of choice. Severe cases can take prednisone orally.
