Ectropion is a condition that eyelid turns out. The lower eyelid is affected more often. It makes the eyelid conjunctiva exposed. If it lasts for a long period of time, it may cause chronic conjunctivitis. Symptoms include increased eye discharge, dry eyes, eye itching, conjunctiva thickening and redness. Artificial tears can help ease the symptoms. More thorough treatment needs surgery.
