Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that's related to changes in seasons. It has a season patern that the symtoms begins and ends at about the same times every year. The symptoms are similar to other depression types. Treatment for SAD may include light therapy, antidepressants and psychotherapy. Mind-body connection methods such as yoga or taichi, medication, guided imagery, music or art therapy may also be helpful.
