Gonorrhea is a purulent inflammatory disease of the urogenital tract, mainly transmitted through sexual intercourse. Both men and women can be infected. It most often affects urethra, rectum, or throat. In women, gonorrhea can infect the cervix. It may also infect the fetus if the woman is pregnant. Using condom can prevent it.
