Graves disease

Grave's disease is the most common cause of hyperthyroidism. Hyperthyroidism is caused by excessive secretion of thyroid hormone. Common symptoms include increased appetite, weight loss, heat intolerance, sweating, heart palpitations, agitation, and swollen thyroid gland. The major goal of treatment is to inhibit production of thyroid hormone and relieve symptoms.
