Hemorrhoids are swelling and inflammation of veins of anus and lower rectum. It may be located in rectum (internal hemorrhoids) or skin around anus (external hemorrhoids). Some are mixed hemorrhoids (internal hemorrhoids and external hemorrhoids) . Hemorrhoids are a common disease. Many treatment options are effective and symptoms can be improved for most patients.
