Hepatitis A

Hepatitis A is a highly contagious liver infection caused by hepatitis A virus. It is primarily transmitted via fecal-oral transmission. Symptoms include fatigue, loss of appetite, enlarged liver and abnormal liver function. In some cases jaundice is also seen. Even without treatment, most infected people fully recover with no permanent liver damage. Developing good health habits and vaccination are effective prevention measures.
