Iron deficiency anemia

Iron deficiency anemia is a common type of anemia. It is caused by lacking of irons. Causes include insufficient iron intake, iron malabsorption, or losing too much iron. Symptoms include weakness, fatigue, dizziness, susceptibility to infection and other symptoms. Child patients may have growth retardation and mental retardation. Oral iron supplement is the preferred therapy for supplementing iron.
