Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis is the most common connective tissue disease in children under age 16. Symptoms differ greatly from type to type. For infants symptoms are usually intermittent fever and skin rash. Older children have joint inflammation symptoms including joint pain, swelling and stiffness. The key of treatment is to control pain, improve function, and prevent joint damage.
