Laryngitis

Laryngitis is a common throat disease. Symptoms include hoarseness and increased throat discharge. It can be caused by repeated episodes of acute laryngitis without proper treatment, over-speaking for a long time, long time stimulation of harmful gases, dust, tobacco, or alcohol, and inflammation of nearby organs. Duration of laryngitis is usually short. Persistent hoarseness sometimes indicates potentially more serious diseases.
