Latex allergy is an allergic disease. It is an allergic reaction to certain proteins existing in certain natural latex products, such as latex gloves, latex stoppers, condoms, and TV remote control buttons. Some foods such as chestnuts, kiwi, banana, tomato have cross-reaction with latex. Symptoms include sneezing, runny nose, skin rash, wheezing and allergic shock. Latex allergy should be dealt with immediately to avoid serious consequences.
