Lazy eye (amblyopia)

Lazy eye (amblyopia) is a conditon of poor eyesight. It develops in the early stage of life (before age 7). Usually only one eye is affected. The affected eye looks lazy (weak) and wanders inward or outward. The two eyes appear not to work together. The problem can usually be treated using eye glasses, contact lenses, or eye patches.
