Lipoma

Lipoma is benign tumor formed by proliferation of fat tissue. It often affects middle-aged people. It is soft, round or lobulated, located on skin. Lipoma is movable. The size ranges from less than 1 inch to several inches. The surface of skin is normal. It can be found on any part of the body surface, but more often seen on shoulders, back and abdomen. Lipoma develops slowly. It usually has no serious adverse effects on the body. It rarely becomes malignant.
