Malaria is a disease caused by plasmodium falciparum. It is a global contagious disease transmitted by anopheles (a type of mosquito). Malaria is characterized by recurrent chills and fever. The cycle can be divided into three periods: chill period, fever period and sweating period. Other symptoms include malaria-caused anemia, acidosis and respiratory distress etc. If plasmodium invades brain blood vessels, it will lead to brain malaria, which is the most severe type of malaria. Brain malaria often causes coma. Malaria can cause spleen enlargement, anemia, as well as brain, liver, kidney, heart, intestine, stomach damage. Sesquiterpene lactone compound is a very effective drug. If treated timely, the prognosis is very good.
