Mammary duct ectasia

Mammary duct ectasia is a disease with one or more dilated breast milk ducts. Depending on the cause of lesion, location and range, symptoms can vary from nipple discharge, subareolar mass, abscess besides areola, fistula besides areola to plasma cell mastitis. The disease is common in older women. If condition is severe, the affected breast ducts may have to be removed surgically.
