The vast majority of meningiomas are benign tumors. They grow slowly over a long period of time. As tumor grows, intracranial pressure increases. The first symptoms are often headaches and epilepsy. Depending on location of the tumor, you may have other symptoms such as vision loss, vision field loss, impaired smelling, impaired hearing, or movement disorder. Epilepsy is usually the first symptoms for elderly patients. Common treatment includes surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy (mainly CyberKnife). Sometimes combined therapy is needed. Surgery combined with chemotherapy has a good result.
