Microcephaly is a rare disease of nervous system. Fetus's brain development is significantly delayed. Often it stops growing in the 3rd to 5th month of pregnancy. Patient has small and sharp head, depressed nose, big ears, retracted jaws and narrow forehead. Physical development is also significantly abnormal. Mental development is also significantly delayed. Some children even have convulsions, limb stiffness and paralysis. Generally microcephaly cannot be cured. Early intervention may help child's development.
