Morton's neuroma

Morton's neuroma is a nerve compression disease of foot. It is actually not a true neuroma. Morton's neuroma often occurs between the third and fourth metatarsal or between the second and third metatarsal. Morton's neuroma can cause sharp burning pain of plantar. Toes may also have tingling, burning, pain, or numbness. The disease often occurs in women. It may be because women wear tight shoes more often. Symptoms improve after you take off shoes. Wearing better fitting shoes is the key to the treatment of Morton's neuroma. If conservative therapy is not effective, you may need corticosteroid injection or surgery.
