Noonan syndrome is a genetic disease. Patients usually have short statute, wide distance between eyes, flat nose and drooping eyelids. Most cases have heart defects and mental retardation. Severity of symptoms in each patient is different. Some patients with severe heart defect need surgery, while most others can live a normal life.
