Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD)

Oppositional defiant disorder is more common in young people. Its symptoms include obvious disobedience, confrontation, passive resistance, irritability, and even destructive behaviors. Symptoms depend on interaction between the child's temperament, age, gender, early experiences, psychological status of parents, as well as interaction among these factors. Treatment involves training, help, and a positive family interaction. Drug may also be used.
