Orchitis

Orchitis is usually caused by bacteria and viruses. The most common cause of viral orchitis is mumps virus. Bacterial orchitis is mostly caused by inflammation of neighboring epididymal. Testicle swelling and pain are the most common symptoms of orchitis. Complications include testicular atrophy, scrotal abscess, and repeated epididymitis. Patients may lose fertility in rare cases. You need to see a doctor if you have these symptoms.
