Orthostatic hypotension (postural hypotension)

Orthostatic hypotension is also known as postural hypotension. When you sit or lie down and then you stand up, you blood pressure will decrease. You will feel dizzy or even faint. Generally symptoms are mild. It lasts for only a few seconds up to a few minutes. Mild condition does not need treatment. However, if you have it for a long time, it may be an indicator of other more serious diseases, you should see a doctor.
