Osgood Schlatter disease

Osgood-Schlatter disease is caused by tibial tubercle avulsion fracture or quadriceps tendinitis. It is often accompanied by formation of new bones. It is common in young boys. Symptoms include front ankle pain, mild swelling and tenderness. Symptoms aggravate after exercise. Patients need to reduce their exercise level for 2-3 weeks.
