Osteoarthritis

Osteoarthritis is also known as degenerative arthritis or hypertrophic osteoarthritis. Pathologically, it is not inflammation but degeneration of articular cartilage surface and secondary hyperostosis. Main symptoms are joint pain and stiffness. It commonly occurs in hands, neck, back, knee and hip joints. It gradually deteriorates over time. There is no cure yet.
