Paraneoplastic pemphigus

Paraneoplastic pemphigus is an autoimmune disease caused by underlying tumor. Antigens associated the tumor triggers an immune reaction that causing the immune system attacing the skin. Symptoms include blistering of the skin and mucous membranes. Skin leasion often leads to skin infection and then sepsis and death. The general prognosis for paraneoplastic pemphigus is poor.
