Peanut allergy

Peanut is an important food allergen, causing peanut allergy. Children are particularly at risk. Symptoms include lower blood pressure, face swelling and throat swelling. These will affect breathing and lead to shock. This allergy is usually triggered in childhood and lasts a lifetime.
