Peptic ulcer

Peptic ulcer includes stomach ulcers (gastric ulcer), upper small intestine ulcer (duodenal ulcer) and esophageal ulcer. They are very common. Peptic ulcer is related to bacterial infection and improper lifestyle. The most obvious symptom of peptic ulcer is pain. Left untreated, it will cause internal bleeding, stomach or intestinal perforation, and severe abdominal infection. Treatment of peptic ulcer is similar to treatment of gastritis, mainly using anti-acid drugs.
