Pheochromocytoma is a tumor originating in the adrenal medulla, sympathetic ganglia or other parts. Pheochromocytoma is usually benign. The size varies from being smaller than a blackberry to being bigger than a papaya. It is often seen in young adults aged 20 to 40. The main symptoms are high blood pressure and basal metabolic change. The tumor should be surgically removed and prognosis is usually very good.
