Post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that develop after a person experienced or witnessed a traumatic event such as traffic collision, sexual assault and warfare. Symptoms include flashbacks of that event, nightmares, anxiety and uncontrollable thoughts about the event. The primary treatment of PTSD is psychotherapy. Medications including antidepressants, anti-anxiety drugs and prazosin (Minipress). Prazosin (Minipress) can help sleeping and reduce nightmares.
